There are moments in a life that don’t make sense until much later…
and then there are moments that never quite fit into explanation at all.

This began as one of those.

As a child, I felt a connection to something I couldn’t name—something that seemed to move through water, through land, through the quiet spaces where I would find myself listening without knowing why.

I didn’t have language for it then…
but I trusted it.

And in ways I’m still discovering,
it was already guiding me.

It didn’t arrive all at once…

It came in quiet ways…

A knowing that would settle in before I had a reason for it…
Images that would appear… not like imagination, but like something being shown…
Dreams that stayed with me long after I woke…

And moments where a word or a feeling would move through me so clearly, it would leave my whole body awake… like something inside me had just said yes.

I didn’t question it.
I simply noticed… and I remembered.

And over time, that quiet presence became something I trusted.

Water was always there…
not separate… but part of the same language.

Following it… was not always easy.

There were moments that brought me face to face with my own limits…
moments that asked for trust…
for surrender…

and for a deeper respect for something far greater than my understanding.

My relationship with water was not only gentle—
it was shaping.

And through it, I began to understand…
this was not something I was simply drawn to…

It was something I was in relationship with.

For many years… I searched.

Across Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Oregon, Colorado, Nevada…
following a knowing that never quite left me…

Even when I stood in places that looked right…
nothing fully met what I felt I was being led toward.

Until life shifted… in a way I could never have planned.

Through a series of unexpected events involving my father…
Idaho entered my awareness.

Not as part of my plan…
but as something that opened.

And something in me recognized it.

By the time I arrived in Buhl…
I had already seen many properties.

But none of that mattered…

because the moment that changed everything
was not part of what I had come to see.

It was just beyond a fence.

A small piece of land… not listed… not offered…

And the moment I saw it…

I knew.

Not slowly…
not over time…

Immediately.

This is it.

There was no question…
only recognition.

I asked for it—
even though it was not for sale…
even though it had just been purchased…

Because I understood something clearly in that moment:

I was not searching for what was available…
I was recognizing what was mine to steward.

That land became what is now known as the Center of Healing.

And beyond it…

more land revealed itself over time…

Through patience…
through persistence…
through trust…

What is now White Buffalo Crossing—over 30 acres—
came together piece by piece…

not all at once…
but exactly as it was meant to.

What began as a quiet knowing…
has now taken form…

but it is not finished.

It is alive.

White Buffalo Crossing is not just a place—
it is an unfolding vision.

A space where land, water, and intention meet…

where orchards grow…
where native medicinal plants are honored…
where simple living and community are remembered…

and where water—living, geothermal, artesian water—
remains at the heart of it all.

And as it continues to take shape…

something deeper has revealed itself.

A calling not only to steward land…
but to hold space for people.

Especially women—

Widowed women…
women finding their way again…
women with children…

those who have carried more than they were ever meant to carry alone.

This is a place being shaped for them…

To be seen…
to be supported…
to be restored…

mentally…
physically…
spiritually…
and emotionally.

Not through force…
but through presence…
through care…
through community.

This is not something I built.

It is something I listened to…
long enough
to recognize.

And it is still unfolding.

If something in you feels this…

you are already part of the story.
