There are moments in a life that don’t make sense until much later…
and then there are moments that never quite fit into explanation at all.
This began as one of those.
As a child, I felt a connection to something I couldn’t name—something that seemed to move through water, through land, and through quiet spaces where I would find myself listening without knowing why. I didn’t have language for it then… but I trusted it. And in ways I’m still discovering, it was already guiding me.
That quiet knowing stayed with me…
through years of searching for land that felt like home.
I looked across states and landscapes…
following something I couldn’t fully explain…
until I was led—unexpectedly—to Idaho.
There, in a moment I will never forget,
I looked beyond what I had been shown…
and recognized a piece of land that was never listed…
but was undeniably mine to steward.
What is now the Center of Healing…
and the surrounding land known as White Buffalo Crossing…
has come together over time—through trust, patience, and a willingness to follow what didn’t always make sense.
This is not just a place…
It is a living space of water, land, and intention—
where something deeper continues to unfold.
A place that is being shaped…
for connection…
for restoration…
and for community.
There is a quiet history held here…
of people gathering on this land…
across differences…
to rest…
to heal…
and to share in the warmth of the water…
before returning to the lives they came from.
And while much has changed…
something about that spirit of coming together in peace…
still feels present.
This space is being shaped with that same heart…
especially for women—
widowed women, women finding their way again, and those carrying more than they were ever meant to carry alone.
A place where they are seen…
supported…
and gently restored—
mentally…
physically…
spiritually…
and emotionally.
If something in you feels this…
you are not here by accident.
